History

Permian Basin Abstract was born in the early 1900’s with the formation of Andrews Abstract, which is the oldest business in Andrews County still in operation. Flash forward several decades, the Andrews County plant merged with the Gaines County plant to form PBA. In 2014, PBA acquired the Reeves/Loving plant in Pecos, Texas and in 2016, it acquired the Pecos County plant in Fort Stockton. In 2024 PBA acquired a title company in Monahans (Ward County) and opened a branch in Lubbock (Lubbock County). Through these acquisitions, PBA now has a total of 6 offices representing 7 counties in the Permian Basin and South Plains areas. By delivering exceptional customer service, careful due diligence, and speed, PBA has served west Texas communities for over a century. Our customers are, and have always been, our priority and we hope to continue to grow our business for decades to come.
